Birth and Postpartum Services

Also Offering Placenta Encapsulation

Welcome! My name is Michelle and I am a certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator and Placenta Specialist, serving San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.

I have always been fascinated with birth and babies and considered a career as a labor and delivery nurse in my 20’s; instead, by accident, I found myself working as a systems administrator.  I enjoyed working with people in that context for 15 years, but I knew it was not the job I was intended to be doing.

In 2005, I became pregnant with my first child. I remember my family was anxious as they tried to support me during my birth; I was scared and had no one to ground me. After the birth of my daughter, I learned about doula and began to research all I could about who they were and what they did, and it struck a chord with me. Not long after that, my best friend asked me to support her during her baby's birth. The experience was amazing; I was hooked, and started down the path of becoming a doula.

In 2013-2014, I enrolled and trained with Cornerstone Doula Training and received my birth and postpartum certifications. Then 2017 I received my Childbirth Educator Certification. I have also taken classes on optimal fetal positioning and on home-births.

I can't think of a better job than helping babies being born and to experience how incredible the birth of a child is. A parent never forgets the birth of their children and I am honored to support, encourage and be there for the beginning of a new life.

My practice welcomes any type of families
